Frances was the daughter of Richard Wesley, 1st Baron Mornington and the aunt of Richard, later 2nd Earl of Mornington and Marquess of Wellesley, Arthur, later 1st Duke of Wellington, and later 3rd Earl of Monington and Henry, Baron Cowley. She married in 1750, William Francis Crosbie, an Irish MP.In 1758 he was elected to succeed his brother-in-law Garret Wesley, 2nd Baron Mornington as Member for Trim in the Irish House of Commons, sitting until 1760.
