A portrait miniature of Gentleman, circa 1660

Artist: English School

oil on copper, wearing red robe over white chemise and lawn collar with tassels
gold coloured frame, set in the original tooled shaped brown leather travelling case.

Although it has not been possible to identify the artist's hand, the costume the sitter is portrayed in suggests that it was painted circa 1660. The original tooled case that accompanies this miniature is an added bonus.
