Abraham was born in Bath and practised there as a jeweller, engraver and miniature painter. IN 1795 he was living a 2 Nothumberland Buildings, Bath and about 1801 at 33 Milsom St. Bath. His miniatures are often small, but sometimes of average size of around 2 1/2 inches high. He rarely signed. The hair is usually treated as a mass. Characteristic portions of his miniatures for comparison are the eyes and the base of the nose. At his best, Daniel was a good miniaturist.
