George Engleheart (1750 - 1829)Engleheart studied under George Barrett, R.A., and in the studio of Sir Joshua Reynolds, some of whose works he copied in miniature. He exhibited at the R.A, 1773-1822. Worked principally in London, practising on his own account at least as early as 1775. He married Ursula Sarah Browne, byu whom he andd four children. rHe has been considered to be one of the leading artists of the end of the 18th and early 19th centuries and executed thousands of miniatures which have been listed in a fee book.
