An unknown Gentleman attributed to William Wood

£ 1,400

Set in the original gold frame with plaited hair border, the reverse with two toned locks of hair entwined, one in a leaf formation on opalescent glass within gold mount and blue glass border

The hair motif on the reverse, the entwinement of a sheaf and possibly corn, is most unusual but would suggest the bonding of two people-a token of marriage.
